Complimentary Classes With Your Century Membership

As a Century Member of Mount Vernon Country Club you can take advantage of our Wellness Pursuits Program integrating all aspects of your Club experience from farm-to-table menu ingredients, fitness classes, financial wellness support, coming full circle with all aspects of your life. We are currently offering two complimentary instructional classes per day from the list below. You must join as a Century Member to take advantage of this offer.

Reservations are required for all classes. To register for a class, log into your membership account at www.mountvernoncc.com. Remember, the primary signer and spouse each have separate membership log in accounts. Click on the Fitness Calendar (to the left) and then click on the class you want for more details and to register. You can also go to Club Calendar which has all club events and register from there. 

Lili Bell Shelton's Classes

Intro Stretch/Roller Release Class
Tuesdays, 9:00 - 9:55 am

Learn self-myofascial release techniques using foam rollers and balls for reparative stretching. Release muscle tension, relieve aches and pains and encourage a better range of motion.
Intro Sports Conditioning Class
Tuesdays, 9:00 - 9:55 am

Bootcamp style interval training for sports i.e. lunges, squats, weights, jump rope, sit ups, plants, etc.
Intro Refresh Meditation Class
Fridays, 10:00 - 10:45 am

Class begins with some gentle stretching, breath and body awareness then a 20 - 25 minute guided meditation with visualizations, music and imagery. A stress buster class! No experience necessary, 45 minutes.

Intro Butts and Guts Class

A workout that focuses on glutes and abs plus rotating other muscle groups. Trim down, build muscle, increase stamina and balance. Get ready to crank it up!

Intro All Level Yoga Class (depending on the week - check class listing calendar)
Tuesdays, 4:30 - 5:25 pm, Wednesdays 6:00 - 6:55 pm and Thursdays, 4:30 - 5:25 pm

Classic yoga moving through a deep awareness of correct alignment, precise actions and building muscle strength, balance while training the mind to remain alert, focused and composed. Class presents options for all levels addressing the needs of students who are new to yoga or those who have practiced for years.

An all-level class designed for elite or wanna be athletes that takes you through a series of highly effective strengthening and deep stretching exercises that are key to the demands of athletes and active people.

Michelle merges yoga with pilates mat movements developing core strength, toning muscles and flexibility. This class reduces stress and fosters mind and body harmony.

Tiffany has studied Yoga for most of her adult life, a practice that is deeply meaningful to her. She’s learned many, many things in her journeys and she's passionate about supporting others as they work to keep their whole beings healthy. Tiffany believes that wellness is available to everyone regardless of our personal limitations and that joy is the birthright of every human soul; that we are all capable of changing our habits and building lifestyles that nourish our bodies and minds; and that we do this best by working together. Tiffany strives to make her classes accessible to EVERY body, especially ones that have limitations due to injury, illness, or fear.

Gil Kelly's Intro Feldenkrais Workshop - The Feldendrais Method - Awareness Through Movement

The Feldenkrais Method® is a form of somatic education that uses gentle movement and directed attention to improve movement and enhance human functioning. Through this Method, you can increase your ease and range of motion, improve your flexibility and coordination, and rediscover your innate capacity for graceful, efficient movement. These improvements will often generalize to enhance functioning in other aspects of your life.
The Feldenkrais Method is based on principles of physics, biomechanics and an empirical understanding of learning and human development. By expanding the self-image through movement sequences that bring attention to the parts of the self that are out of awareness, the Method enables you to include more of yourself in your functioning movements. Students become more aware of their habitual neuromuscular patterns and rigidities and expand options for new ways of moving. By increasing sensitivity the Feldenkrais Method assists you to live your life more fully, efficiently and comfortably.

Get the basics and learn to play this fun outdoor winter sport that's a cross between racket ball, tennis and ping pong. MVCC has two lit courts at the tennis center! We'll have paddles and balls for you to use at this clinic.
