Mount Vernon Country Club Pool Complex |
In 2000, Mount Vernon Country Club built a new pool complex that includes a swimming pool and 10,400 square feet of exercise, locker, and restaurant space. This was one of the largest planned construction projects in the Club's 85 year history.
To help extend this beautiful summer season, we are keeping the pool and Overlook Grill open for two additional weekends in September! The Grill hours will be open Fridays from 2:30 - 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Fridays: 9/10 & 9/17 - 2:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 9/11 & 9/18 - 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sundays: 9/12 & 9/19 - 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday Afternoon Club will continue at the Overlook Grill on Fridays, September 10th, 17th, and through the Fall until November 19th. It will resume again mid January for Kids Klub!

Private/Semi-Private Swimming Lessons
Private Lessons are available to those 4 years and older who desire individualized attention. Please come by the Pool Office and complete a Private Lesson Request. An instructor will contact you to schedule a time. Payment is due at the time of lesson.
Fees (30 minute lesson): Private Lesson: $25.00 or Semi-Private Lesson: $20.00
Pool Guests
We do allow Pool Members to invite guests to enjoy our pool throughout the season. Please keep in mind that guests MUST be accompanied by a Pool Member to use our facility.
Fees: Children (under 18): $5.00 Adults: $9.00
Aqua Aerobics
A deep-water aerobic exercise class designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, strength, and muscle tone. This is a great low impact exercise program for people of all abilities. Please sign-in with the instructor prior to each class.
Dates and Times: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Fees:
MVCC Pool Member: $6 per class ($78 for 13 class punch card)

Masters Swim - Swim Team Training For The Adult
A beginner class for adults age 19+ who want to learn better stroke technique and improve their overall endurance and athletic skill. Class will be run by Taylor, similarly to swim team.
Dates and Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays
6:00 - 7:00 p.m. June 1 - August 19
Fees:
MVCC Pool Member: $8 per class ($96 or $192 for 12 or 24 class punch card)
MVCC Social Member: $9 per class ($108 or $216 for 12 or 24 class punch card)

Annual "School's Out Pool Party"
Wednesday, June 2nd from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Rain Date: June 8th (no swim team practice)
Come by on June 2nd and enjoy the festivities. This is a celebration of summer and the school year end. No guest fees will be charged, and non-pool members are welcome.
JULY:
Annual "Fourth of July Fun and Games"!
Sunday, July 4th from 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Fun, Games, Contests for all ages! Please note: Pool closes at 4:30 p.m.
AUGUST:
Annual “Back to School Bash Pool Party"
Sunday, August 29th from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Join us on August 29th for our last big bash of the season! No guest fees.

Saturday, June 19th:
No Adult Lap swim. Open Swim from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. due to Swim Meet. MVCC Makos host Stingrays.
Sunday, June 27th:
No Adult Lap swim. Open Swim from 1:00 - 6:30 p.m. due to C/D Swim Meet at MVCC.
Saturday, July 10th:
No Adult Lap swim. Open Swim from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. due to Swim Meet. MVCC Makos host Columbine Knolls.
Extended Summer Pool Hours:
If the summer weather stays nice, Mount Vernon Country Club will typically extend the pool season and keep the pool and Overlook Grill open for two additional weekends in September. Take a look at our September & October membership newsletter for more details in the Fall.
Facility Rental
The pool and Pavillion are available during non-scheduled times for parties and receptions. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance. The Pavillion is also available for rental during open swim hours. For more information and scheduling, please contact the Catering Office at 303-526-3104.
Emergency Cards
Each family must complete an emergency information card at the Pool Office on their first visit. This information will help the aquatic staff provide appropriate care during emergency-situations.

The 2010 Recreational Newsletter will be mailed to all Pool members by early May 2010. This newsletter will provide more detailed information about all of our planned activities.
